PEMANFAATAN LIMBAH PERTANIAN DAN INDUSTRI SEBAGAI PAKAN FERMENTASI GUNA MENINGKATKAN BERAT BADAN RUMINANSIA
(Domba Ekor Gemuk)

UTILIZATION OF AGRICULTURAL AND INDUSTRIAL WASTE AS FERMENTATION FEED
WEIGHT FOR IMPROVING RUMINANTS
(Fat Tailed Sheep)

ABSTRACT

Resources grass cattle feed ruminants, including sheep narrowed, because the land is more narrow, so that the feed will affect the willingness of the development and production of sheep and other ruminant animals. Abundant agricultural waste used at harvest to feed fermentation. Research methods used are observation and experiment with the test sample with 10 sheep to eat fermented feed a conventional 5 sheep and 5 lambs Based on laboratory test results said that the analysis of the fermentation of feed material at 12.13%, so that the fermentation of feed suitable for consumption by animals Ruminants (Fat Tailed Sheep).
Fermentation breastfeeding can increase the weight of sheep's tail fat more quickly with an average weight gain was 1.07 kg a week compared with a fat tail sheep given conventional feed (grass) with weight highest average 0.39 kg a week . So in an effort to create a fat sheep, feeding can accelerate the fermentation is more fattening than the conventional feed (grass).
Keywords: Fermentation of feed, conventional feed, ruminants sheep. Agricultural and industrial waste.
